Orthopaedics treatment in India

Knee and hip replacement, spinal fusion and arthroscopy. The most predictable category we handle.

What we arrange

Procedures and indicative costs

Surgery and hospital only. Flights, accommodation, food, transport and your visa are counted separately, because that is what actually leaves your account.

Send your reports and we come back with itemised estimates from two or three accredited hospitals.

Meet the surgeon first

A video call with the person who would actually operate, before you commit to flying anywhere.

You pay the hospital

Directly, into their own account. We never handle your treatment money.

The most predictable trip we arrange

Joint replacement is where medical travel works best. The costs are well established, the timelines are reliable, the outcomes are good, and very little about the process is a surprise.

If this is your first time considering treatment abroad, it is also the easiest place to start, because almost everything can be planned in advance.

The implant is the biggest lever on price

A standard implant and a high-flexion or custom one can differ by more than USD 1,200. Your surgeon recommends based on your age, weight and activity level, and that reasoning is worth hearing. Ask what the alternatives cost. We will get it in writing.

Robotic assistance adds roughly USD 800 to 1,500. Whether it improves your particular outcome is genuinely debated among surgeons, so ask yours directly rather than accepting it as automatically better.

Both knees at once

Replacing both in a single admission typically costs 1.6 to 1.8 times a single knee rather than double, because you pay for one admission, one anaesthetic and one recovery. One trip instead of two.

Recovery is harder though, and not everyone is a candidate. Your surgeon will tell you on a video call before you commit.

Physiotherapy is not included, anywhere

You will need six to twelve weeks of it after you get home, and no hospital quote in any country includes that. Budget for it separately. It is the most commonly forgotten cost in joint replacement.

Straight answers

Orthopaedics questions

How long does a knee implant last?

Typically 15 to 20 years depending on your age, weight and activity level. Younger and heavier patients wear implants faster.

Will I set off airport metal detectors?

Sometimes. Ask the hospital for an implant card before you leave.

How soon can I fly home?

Usually two to three weeks after surgery, once your surgeon clears you. Long flights carry a clot risk after joint surgery, so this is not a date to push.

Can I have both knees done on one trip?

Often yes. One admission, one anaesthetic, one recovery, one set of flights. Your surgeon will advise whether you are suitable.

Tell us what's happening

A hospital cannot price your treatment without seeing your case. Send what you have, even a photograph of a piece of paper, and we will tell you what else is needed.

  • Your reports go only to hospitals you approve first, by name.
  • Stored encrypted, and deleted whenever you ask.
  • You pay the hospital directly. Never us.

Send your reports

A hospital cannot price your treatment without seeing your reports. Send them and we come back with itemised estimates from two or three hospitals — usually within 24 hours, or 48 for transplant and complex oncology.

This is how we will reach you. Include the country code.
Photographs of paper reports are fine. Scans on CD are best sent as the original image files. Stored encrypted, shared only with hospitals you approve.

We reply within about 15 minutes on WhatsApp during our covered hours. Read what we do with your data — we never sell it, and you can have it deleted at any time.
