How we price

Every figure on this site is a range, not a single price, compiled from published market data and from our own negotiated hospital quotes. Ranges are reviewed every three months. Where our sources disagree, we widen the range and say so rather than picking the number that suits us.

Why ranges and not prices

A single figure implies a precision the underlying data does not support, and it is the number you would hold us to when the invoice lands higher. Two patients having the same operation can receive genuinely different bills because of implant choice, length of stay, and what a pre-operative test finds.

So we publish a range, we list what is excluded from it, and we list what could push you towards the top of it.

Where the numbers come from

Published market data. Hospital and facilitator pricing that is already public, cross-checked across several sources rather than taken from one.

Our own negotiated quotes. As we obtain written quotes from partner hospitals, they replace the published figures. Over time this becomes the majority of the dataset, and it is better than anything published because it is current and specific.

Our own operational costs for flights, accommodation, food, transport and visa documentation. Nobody else publishes these, which also means nobody else can check them, so we take accuracy here seriously.

When sources disagree

They often do. On one procedure our sources differed by more than a factor of two for the same country. When that happens we show the range spanning both figures and mark it, so you can see that the uncertainty is in the data rather than in our confidence.

Where the published data is too thin or too contradictory to state honestly, the page says "quoted per case" rather than showing a number we cannot stand behind. That applies to several of the highest-value procedures, including CAR-T therapy and deep brain stimulation.

Non-India figures

Our comparison tables include Turkey, Thailand, the Gulf, the UK and the United States. We cannot verify those from our own operations, and every table says so. They are there to give you context, not to be quoted as our quotes.

How often this is checked

Every three months, and immediately when a hospital revises a quote. Each cost page shows when it was last reviewed. If a page says July, someone read it in July.

This matters more than it sounds. Some long-established sites in this market are still showing prices they last touched several years ago, in a market where costs have moved.
